  • 1. Do I need to be a member of ABA to fish a tournament.
    Yes, each angler will need to be a current member of American Bass. Membership is valid for 1 year from the date of receipt. Single Membership is $40, Family Membership is $45 (2 Adults and Dependents). i. Go to https://americanbass.com and click on Member Login to complete application.
  • Am I required to fish with the same partner all year.
    Yes, there are no alternate or substitutions. You are allowed to fish 2 events solo without declaring a partner. After two events you either have to declare a partner or fish solo the remaining events. Your declared partner doesn’t have to fish, you just can’t fish with anyone else.
  • 3. What bodies of water does this circuit fish.
    a. Lake Mead i. Hemenway Harbor Marina b. Lake Mohave i. Cottonwood Cove Marina
  • 4. What type of fishing license do we need.
    A Valid Nevada or Arizona Fishing License (Colorado River)
  • 5. What time will we launch in the mornings?
    We will be setting a specific time for each tournament. A time close enough to safelight but at time I can set so everyone knows exactly what time launch is. The December 14th event most likely will have a launch time of 6:15am. (Subject to Change)
  • 6. What time will check in be?
    The first flight will be due back at 3:00PM, depending on how many boats are at each event the boats per flight will vary. Each flight will come in 15 minutes after the previous flight.

  • How does a team qualify for the end of year championship.
    A team has to fish 5 of the 7 events.
  • How much does it cost to enter a tournament?
    Basic entry fee is $200 There are 3 options as well. Big Fish Option is $40 Team with the biggest bass will be paid 60% of total collected for the Big Fish Option Team with the 2nd biggest bass will be paid 40% Top 5 Option is $40 1st Place team will be paid 40% of total collected for the Top 5 Option 2nd Place team will be paid 30% of total collected for the Top 5 Option 3rd Place team will be paid 15% of total collected for the Top 5 Option 4th Place team will be paid 10% of total collected for the Top 5 Option 5th Place team will be paid 5% of total collected for the Top 5 Option Cody Steckel Option is $20 Team weighing biggest bass will receive 50% of total collected for the Cody Steckel Option. Remaining 50% will be sent to Cody from all of us as he attempts to qualify for the Bass Master Elite Series next year.
  • How do we win the the $10,000 first place Team of Year prize.
    The team that has the most points using their best 5 of 7 events will be the $10,000 Team of the Year prize. Points are given in a descending order from 100 to 1. For example: 1st place will receive 100 points 2nd place will receive 99 points, and so on. A team must bring to the scales at least one fish at each event in order to be scored, if a team fails to weigh one bass at an event that team will be awarded 10 show points only. If at the end of 7 events there is a tie for any place, the tie breaker will be the team with the most weight caught. If there is still a tie, the two tied teams will split either 1st and 2nd prizes or 2nd and 3rd prizes. 1st Place will pay $10,000 2nd Place will pay $5,000 3rd Place will pay $1,000
  • 12. How do we win the $2,500 for biggest stringer of the year?
    A team must fish a minimum of 5 events and have weighed the biggest bag of bass. If at the end of the year there is a tie for the biggest bag of the year, the tiebreaker is the team with most weight using their best 5 of 7 events.

    The top ten teams from each event will receive one token. At the end of the season if a team placed in the top 10 5 times, they will have five tokens in the bag. The winner of each the Pro Entry and the AAA entry will be picked out of a box by someone attending the award ceremony at our last event of the year.
